Ecogots reinforces its commitment to quality and sustainability
At Ecogots, we do not simply claim that our reusable cups are safe, durable and environmentally friendly: we prove it with first-class technical and legal documentation. That is why we want to share two achievements that reinforce this commitment: our European Declaration of Conformity (DoC), the document with the greatest legal weight regarding our products, and the achievement of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, audited by Applus+.
Our Declaration of Conformity: the foundation of everything
The Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is the document with the highest technical and legal value that a company can issue for a product: it certifies, under the direct responsibility of the manufacturer and supported by tests carried out by independent laboratories, that the specific product complies with current European regulations. Unlike other accreditations, it is not a temporary seal that needs to be renewed periodically: it remains valid as long as the product does not change.
Our latest DoC confirms that our cups:
- Comply with the new European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, EU 2025/40), the most demanding regulation in Europe regarding eco-design and packaging reuse.
- Withstand more than 200 complete industrial washing cycles without losing structural integrity, according to tests certified by independent laboratories.
- Withstand hot filling up to 100 °C, also independently validated.
- Are mechanically recyclable, confirmed by an analysis carried out by Universitat Jaume I.
- Are PFAS-free (“forever chemicals”), well below detection limits.
- Meet the strictest limits for heavy metals.
- Are suitable for food contact (water, soft drinks, juices, coffee, alcohol, milk…), in accordance with European regulations on food contact materials.
In short: we do not just say that our cups are safe and sustainable; there is a legal document, backed by laboratory tests, that proves it.
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, audited by Applus+
At the same time, Ecogots has obtained the ISO 9001 certification (quality management) and ISO 14001 certification (environmental management), audited by Applus+, one of the leading certification bodies internationally.
These certifications demonstrate that, beyond the product itself, our way of working as a company is externally audited: we have consistent quality processes and responsible management of our environmental impact, reviewed periodically by an independent third party.
